An Unexpected First To Find

While caching a Power Trail Stacie and I came across a cache that had a blank log.nickgatt's Abe was Here

This is a common thing to find while caching since logs get wet, torn, full, or disappear all together.  A Cache Owner, or thoughtful cache finder, will exchange the damaged log with another one for future seekers.  Usually the words Replacement Log are printed across the top to indicate that the original has been exchanged.

With this particular log, no such words were present.  So Stacie used a smartphone app to get more information.  The cache (nickgatt’s Abe was Here GC2J9HH) had just been published the night before when I ran the Pocket Query to get a list of all the caches along the Power Trail.  No one had been there during the night or wee hours of the morning to find the cache.  We could claim the honor of First To Find (FTF)!  This was totally unexpected and added a spring to our step as we continued down the grueling Power Trail.
